Week 05
This week, I have focused on proving myself so I can improve my business. After this week's assignments, I think that was a key aspect I was missing. I have put in a lot of time and effort into my business, but not a lot on myself, and I realized that I need to become the best version of myself so I can be the best for my customers as well. Earlier this week, my brother sent me this quote: “Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”- Mark Twain. This quote resonated with me because recently I have felt that, because I served a mission, I am two years behind everyone else, and I needed to hurry to catch up, but after reading this quote, it made me realize that there is no deadline to success. We can all be successful in time, because there is no time! I think that now that I recognize that, I can finally take a breath instead of all day, every day, trying to do more than I possibly can.
This week, as well, I have started making more investments. I just arrived in Idaho and purchased a lot of things for my business that I was procrastinating on buying. I realized that my business needs customers, and a lot of them, so I need a way to attract them. If I spend my time just on the product, it will attract some customers, but not a lot. I realized that a lot of the time, people enter a store just because it looks cool. I have done it myself quite a bit, and because it simply looks cool, I ended up loving what they had to offer and quickly became a regular customer.
